‘La taupinière’ (molehill) is a public exhibition space in the centre of Geneva, open for artistic interventions that integrate the given situation and the particular architecture of the building. The projects’ intention is to create a place that is not only an exhibition surface but that becomes – through the constraints and qualities of the building – an experimental place where new relations between participants, spectators and passerbys can happen.
‘La taupinière’ is therefore not only a contemporary art space but more seven spaces defined by a volume in interaction with urban reality.

The sad story About La taupinière is its short existence at the Plaine de Plainpalais. The building owner censured installation n°2 and the rental agreement could therefore not be renewed by end of November. Time to move -  to move in a direction under healthier and more flexible conditions. And as molehills appear where one can dig corridors…they always find a new terrain..
