Unfortunately, the exhibition of Legoville had to be cancelled, due to the building owners disagreement with the content of the installation. Please view the installation online on:

Since 2005, Legoville (Anna Larocca, born 1968 in Montevideo, sociologist and Niklaus Strobel, born 1974 in Zurich, artist) create artistic interventions in the public space. For their interventions, they use social and historical relations of the place in order to take them up by narration and the redirection. Their ironical and playful approach serves as tool to challenge real facts to provoke curious and spontaneous reactions from the passer-by.

The installation Résidence l’Ermitage at La taupinière transforms the showcases in faked real estate boards – which once were the original function of these showcases. They promote the spaces of the hidden and unaccessible lower floor of the building that was once used as a bunker of civil defense. An ironic solution for Geneva’s actual housing shortage situation.
